GAME: THE EIFFEL TOWER

 

COMPANY REQUIREMENT: The game’s objective was to emphasize the misunderstandings in communication.

OBJECTIVE:
• Show how the same words mean different things depending the mind of the receptor.
• To focus on the speaker’s communication result.

RESOURCES: Little “Rasty –like bricks.

NUMBER OF PLAYERS: 5 to 20 players

TARGET: Teachers

DYNAMICS OF THE GAME: The speaker transmits the construction of a sculpture that the facilitator shows him/her how to build. The speaker has his/her back to the receptors, that is to say the receptors follow the explication of the speaker, without the possibility of seeing the sculpture. To make it more difficult, answers are not allowed at the beginning. Regardless of language, culture and code, it is interesting to see that words have different interpretations.
